I've got mice out by my garage. Does anyone know of any natural mouse repellent. I remember my grandfather saying something about peppermint, but it's been so long ago now, I cant remember.

The most natural method is ... CATS...
I have several out side mouse getters, they often go hunting in the surrounding fields because they have removed all from the immediate area ...

If you know someone with indoor cat, you can spread the litter box contents around the perimeter of your out buildings ... it is a great deterrent for pests of all kinds. They will not make a home in a building that they think cats are around... Plus it's a good fertilizer for the grass and plants... :smile:KennyV

I did not want to get a cot or any other pet because I was still hurting over a dog that was stolen from me. But I had mice that were getting out of hand. They ran my house. They even got smart about the mice traps and after a week I could not catch them. I got a cat and I am happy to say the mice are mostly gone and the 1 or 2 left are living in fear.

Just make sure that you get the cat spayed or nurtured. They are great to have around but you do not want to replace a mouse problem with a cat problem.

We have four cats and for every mouse they catch twenty more take their place outside. We had one living under our stove and the cats were too darn lazy to worry about it lol they get fed too well. Use the older spring type snap traps and place them in a plastic bin that has an opening small enough that no larger critter can get in. I would never use poison or glue traps unless I could be positive no other animal could reach them.

Kenny...do you have any idea just how much poo four cats produce? No way would I dump the contents of their litterboxes around our outbuildings. Seems like a sanitation hazard. :confused2:

Thats true ... BUT not quite the sanitation hazard of what all the mice families will leave behind...:laughing:

Also you do not have to do that every day.:eek:
