Hello! I just bought a older mastercraft mower for 50 bucks off Craigslist... It has a bearing in one of the deck/blade spindles that is bad. I have no problem in replacing it; however, I need some help in identifying exactly what part I need to order... The mower is a mastercraft by coast to coast, 14.5hp, 7 speed- I don't know any model numbers or where to find them... Sorry. I do know that Mtd made mastercraft.... I have a picture of the mower and the spindle if I can figure out how to post pictures! Any help on how to find out what exact spindle I need would be appreciated! I have seen many that look just like it on eBay.....

WELCOME to LMF....

Show the spindle... Get some measurements.. It will likely be a common part used in Many of the MTD decks... :smile:KennyV

You should be able to take off the top pulley and then tap the spindle shaft down so it comes out the bottom. Then you can tell what bearing you need to replace. Probably top and bottom bearing. Sometimes the bottom bearing is pressed on & it takes a little persuasion to get it off. Picture would help.
