The K Courage 19 split the crank so I bought a Briggs EX1900 replacement. Been studying the wire diagrams to connect. Briggs has 4 wires - gray to fuel, black to magneto, orange to lights, red to alternator. CC has a double red, double white/red, yellow, black that connect. I assume CC black is oil, yellow is magneto, red white is alternator, but no idea on red.
Briggs black to CC yellow magneto
Briggs red to CC red/white alternator
Briggs gray to CC ??
Briggs orange lights to CC??
Briggs ?? To CC black?
Briggs ?? To CC double red
I know someone else has swapped these engines and I would appreciate any help.

can you post the real model number of the Briggs engine from the rocker cover or barcode label? Also post the model of the CC from its serial number tag. This is so I can research both unit's wiring info.

I suspect the Briggs is using a dual circuit alternator and orange wire will not be used on the CC. And the Double Red on the CC would be connected to the Briggs gray wire.

Okay this should help out. And ignore the orange wire as it is not used on the Cub Cadet. You can ignore the green wire as the engine does not have an oil pressure switch besides it sounds like it not present anyway but it would had connected to the Cub's black wire.
