My first post. My Mower is a LTX1040 from about 2008 or 09. I bought a new deck blade engagement cable, since the original one broke. I did not receive a cable with a Z bend at the handle end. The new one has a round pin that fits thru a hole in the handle. What do I do to keep the pin from falling out? There isn’t a hole for a cotter pin. Did I get the wrong cable?

Should I try and crimp it or heat and crimp? I don’t want to ruin it.

It’s not in locked in yet at the Metal clip but will tension hold it in place?

I figured it out. The flat part lays against the handle, and the cable also wraps slightly. Then tension holds it in
