LT2000 Starter Coil

Im trying to replace the starter coil of an LT2000. It looks like its near the battery but you cannot see it. I could not find any videos of the same mower. There are no external bolts. I have checked the battery and the starter. It just wont turn over.
 
If it is where i think it is, it will be located above the hitch on the left side below the rear of the fenders mounted with 2, 3/8 headed bolts that are on the outside of the rear hitch plate with the solenoid L mounting bracket mounted to the outside and the solenoid itself mounted to the inside,
 
follow the wire from the starter. Failure to turn over could be a safety switch, an ignition switch, battery or connection. I would not jump to any conclusions until I put a VOM on the terminals and figured where the voltage is missing.

And I ran across one this year that the are from the inside Have go thru the battery box area to get to those.

Unbolts through the outside but to remove it you have to stand on your head and disconnect the wires through the battery box hole, to get enough slack to remove the solenoid from the frame overhang.

IL you got remember OEMs do change thing up sometimes.

IL It depends how it is bolted as I said I ran across one MTD which LT2000 is a Craftsman MTD that solenoid was bolted from the inside instead normal outside. I wish I could remember which customer it was so I could pull the exact model and serial but I have gone thru at least 75 mowers so far this year and lots of 2 cycle handhelds.

Either way always disconnect the battery and remove it.
