Is the LT200 discontinued?

I've been considering the LT125 and the LT200 series Snapper machines; after discovering that snapper has downgraded the transmission on the 125, combined with my hilly lawn, made me look towards jumping to the $2200 and up LT200 series.

But there's nothing left of them on snappers website!

They have the new "next" series, which has too many electronic goodies for me (more to go wrong). Maybe they felt they needed to narrow the options?

Has anyone heard any definite news on the LT200s?

Ok, it is true the LT200 series has been discontinued. Spoke with a nearby dealer and he confirmed it, but added that there won't be any issue with parts, and he'll be putting his stock on sale soon.

Ended up driving home with an LT200 2042 for a few hundred off sticker

As expensive as they were, doesn't surprise me if they just plain didn't sell. Not surprising.

Hi Twall,

Not sure if you mean they were too highly priced for the current market / etc, or if you don't see the value for the price. Could you please explain?

With the economy in the toilet, a RER that expensive no matter how nice it is (and it IS nice) is doomed to failure, I'm afraid.

I thought the LT200 was a tractor, not a RER.

You're correct, it is a lawn tractor, not a rear engine rider. Stock photo:
