Hey guys,
I have a Craftsman LT1500 that wont start, and by meaning it wont start it wont crank. The battery is only about 3-4 months old and has a good charge on it. When I turn the key to crank it over I get a clicking (like the starter solenoid engaging) from under seat. I didn't have time last night to tear into but wanted some input on what to look for. The mower is 6 years old.

Thanks

Most of the time that clicking is the failure of the solenoid. Two things to check: make sure the engine turns freely by hand (sometimes the starter gear can jamb). if it does, try to jump the starter. get a screwdriver and put it across the two large posts on the solenoid. If the starter turns, the solenoid is bad. If it doesn't, look into a bad starter.

Motor spins freely, tried jumping the solenoid with a large screw driver and nothing. There is power to the starter when the key is turned. Looks like the starter
