I have an LT1000 with a Briggs and Stratton 18.5 OHV Intek Engine. The engine blew, so I replaced with a 17.5 OHV Briggs and Stratton. Everything seems to be connected correctly. It starts and runs, but the hydrostatic transmission is not engaging in forward or reverse now. Also, I had taken the brake assembly apart and cannot figure out how to get it back together correctly; I'm not sure if it is related. The brake sits above the disc, and I'm having a hard time finding a picture online to show me how it goes back together. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Make sure the push lever on the back of the tractor is positioned correctly.

If it is might try jacking it up with both rear tires elevated start the engine, place in gear and just let it set and run. You are bleeding air.
If it ever starts working you probably need to get ready to replace the Hydro.

A complete model number of the tractor might be helpful. The number from the model and ser tag.

Ill try to get the model/serial number later today. Do you meant he parking brake?
Why do you think I may need to replace the hydro? It has been running great for years.

I let it run in drive for 15 minutes with the rear end raised. The wheel never spun
