Is the belt guide around the engine pulley close to the pulley?
Did you put both covers on over the spindle pulleys?
Does it get tight and work as it should when you engage the pto?
(( racing is the only sport that you need two balls ))

Not sure but I think it is.

Yes
If you look at the youtube video, mine looks the same as this. It works fine when the PTO is engaged. Its very loose when PTO not engaged and is capable of falling off the pulley.
