wheels are a fleabay deal so i cant just bring my mower less one wheel to do a test fit unfortunally. my tires are shot and one keeps leaking at the bead so my only other option is 2 new tires and tubes or one tube in ther leaker. I tried to break tire from rim but was a no go and what the local shop wants for a tube and mount im better in the long run to just get a set of new wheel/tires for the front and be done for a bit extra
Get a mini tire changer from Harbor Freight or Northern for $40 and you can easily remove and install any small tire, although three inchers are a pain. I did it after a cycle shop ruined 2 Goodyear Rawhides for my MaxII using an auto tire changer. The tire changer has a good bead breaker and make sure you get bead lube. I got two Arnold tires and wheels from Lowe's to go on my Cub Cadet. they came with enough bushings to fit the front axle, but I did have to modify one bushing some( sliced a piece off it) to get the right clearance. I have done wheel barrow tires, ATV tires, mower tires, hand truck tires. I replaced the 480x4x8 rears on our JD 56 and the 350x4.5x3's on the front. If I could change those, I can change any small tire.
