i am 16 going to be 17 in a couple months. but anyways next spring i will be looking to purchase my first commercial mower (walk behind). i will also need to get a small pick up truck, maybe something like a ford ranger. i do not think i will get a trailor, just dont have the room or space. but mower wise right now all i have is a 21" toro home owner mower. recently i been looking at the snapper pro sw5 (32" deck) for next spring. if you have experience or know much about this mower i'll be glad to hear your reviews on it.

If you gonna spend that much money. Buy either a Scag or exmark 36 inch belt drive walk behind. Simple to fix if broken and well built I started out like you. I've owned Scag lesco cub cadet and now ferris. Scag was probably the best but I love my ferris now.

I agree with clpolcar, get a 36" belt drive. I purchased a 36" Toro belt drive (twin cylinder Kawasaki KAI 13 hp engine and very heavy duty) that had been purchased new by a commercial cutter and used 3 months. He was getting out of the business and I bargained with him and got it for $1500. I cleaned it up and did some painting and it looks like new. It is a great mower.

I use a snapper belt drive 48 inch pro

Very easy to work on and don't have to worry about a hydro going out.

Only part that ever breaks in the transmission is the shift fingers. $12 and 30 mins to fix.

I bought my 52 inch Scag Walk Behind in 1993, I only use it on my own lot but it has been a great machine. I replaced the motor in 2005 with a twin 17 hp Kawasaki, but other than that it has never required anything but wearable parts like belts, brake bands etc. If you are going to cut wet grass you might consider a mower with hydraulic drive as the belts tend to slip on mine when wet.
