Me too. Have you had any luck? Sears dont know anything about this mower huh? Seems to me you make something you should sell parts for it. They just want us to buy a new tractor.

The rear steering is in the transaxle. I have 94 Craftsman/Murray that has rear steering. Transaxle model is P930-042. Its was also used Murray, Noma, and Dynmark.

How can you tell what year is a mower is by the serial number? I didn't know Murray and whom ever.

If it has Briggs engine then the first 2 digits of the code is what year it is. Craftsman owners manuals say what year the mower is on the front cover on 2000 to present models.

What if it has a kohler motor? I picked up this mower so No owners manual.

What color is it? Whats the model of it? Might say on tag where the model and serial number is.

Whats the model number of the mower. Thats the model number of the engine. It will be under the seat on the rear fender.
