i have an older(not sure how old) briggs and stratton. It is on a go kart my uncle built and it has seen better days. before i go ripping it apart i was wondering where i could get parts(online or a store?). It is a 3.5 horse. 148cc
numbers: 92502 3161 01 8708105
I have googled the number in but i can only get the 92502 31 then nothing else is the same. im pretty sure the 61 and the 01 should be the same too? I am looking for piston rings, top end gaskets, carb kit, bearings and some other misc parts. So if anybody can point me in the right direction to find these parts(or interchangable parts) that would be very helpful. Thank you very much!
From the briggs web site support section download the original parts book.
Then use those numbers at any of the parts suppliers listed on this forum ( under the links section ).
The numbers ou type in will most likely all be obsolete but usually they will update to the new ones.

You can't find parts because you need a number that isn't on the engine. Put a zero in front of the model number, which makes it 092502-3161-01. Now try looking it up and see what you can find.
If you will post pictures of the parts you need, I will try to find aftermarket parts that aren't as expensive.
"K&T Parts House Lawn Mower Parts and Chain Saw & Trimmer Parts"
your parts book is down near the bottom of the list.
Note there are two of them.
The repair manual posted earlier is wrong for your moor as you have a side valve engine.
They are generally called L heads and repair manuals for them are all over the web
