I have inherited (with a home I purchased) a Cub Cadet LT1042. The prior owner has rather frankly butchered several things on the mower, but it does seem to work fairly well. I am in the process of replacing the PTO clutch on it and I hope I have that well under control. If not I will be asking for more help. The owner also seems to have completely removed the headlight wiring. Based on the wiring diagram it appears that the lights are wired between system ground and some unknown blue wire on the alternator. If I can locate a terminal for this blue wire I am certain i can wire in the headlights. The question I have is where on the engine do I locate the terminal for this blue wire. Please assume I am really ignorant and I am not really sure where the alternator is on the engine. I suspect the alternator is buried under the flywheel, but is there a good place to get at the "blue" wire easily? Pictures would be really helpful.
Thanks,
TerryMSU
