Hello,

I have a lgt2654 96045003700 Husq 54 inch mower....

I have the fender hydo control and NOT the pedal control.

After 106 hours of usage the drive belt came off, which i find out that is the expectacy of the drive belt. The drive belt also (somehow) knocked out the the hydo "pull out to disenge" the tranmission rod/control.

Spring Rod Bypass
Part Number: 532415743

Part 99 I believe.....Naturally the replacement one looks much different then the missing original. The parts diagram really doesnt show how it needs to be reinstalled? I think when I temporarly got the drive belt back on- I noticed a black lever that it may attach to....but i am unsure where and how it connects? Does it have a return spring? Does anyone have a Good pictures that show "how it was before?"

Does the fender control use a different rod?

Thanks for your time

rod bypass should be attached to transaxle, look & feel for shift lever on transaxle, backside of rod bypass should be visible from backside of tractor

Huskies come with either Tuff Torq's or Hydrogears
The Tuff Torques have the thin bent wire which from memory is connected directly to the tranny
The Hydrogear trannies use the thick bent rod and spring.
At the back you will see 2 keyhole shaped slots .
The bypass should go through 1 of these depending upon which tranny you have.

Thanks for the reply.....

I believe I have the Tuff torq.... I looked under and it does say tuff torq... Pretty much I think looks like the part diagram

The ordered replacement part is a thin wire...My old one was a more substanial rod (which is completey now missing).... I thought it seem like had a spring or some sort of tension on it. The order part "rod.spring.bypass,K46.tex.gt" is just a thin butt wire with no springs or any thing. I guess it a sub part.

I know the wire goes thru the keyhole shaped slot in the back...But how and where does the bloody other end go?!!? The parts diagram doesnt show the connection point...Do you have a better diagram or picture that can help out?

Thanks

Use the numbers on the tufftorq sticker you found on the tranny to download the parts diagram.
Either from Tuff Torq direct or from parts tree, jacks Small Engines etc etc.
Naturally it will go on the end of the bypass valve.

Thank you !! I just did not understand the model numbers/hop numbers and so on.... Hopefully I can get the mower corrected this weekend. Off hand, do you know if the valve/lever is "full on" or "full off"(like say a light switch)- or does it act like a "faucet" somewhat on...somewhat off....

Thanks again
