Leak from bottom. I have a GH 526v/52 that has an oil leak from bottom of engine area. Cannot find source of leak. B&S 26 Hp Engine. Can engine oil seal be replaced without removing engine? If not, can someone please provide guidance on removing engine?
Thanks in advance for all time and assistance on this problem.

I have replaced them without removing the engine. Remove your pulley /PTO clutch , drill a small hole into the metal of the seal , Install a screw into the drilled hole and use a claw hammer to pull out the seal. Use a section of 1 1/2 inch PVC drain pipe 6 inch long or longer as your seal driver to install the new seal . I have had to change a few sump gaskets on them . The gasket is not pushed out but was sucked into the pan. They sell a Dye to put into the engine oil that will glow with a black light to find the hard to find leaks.

There are many ways to skin a cat as the old saying goes and I can pull the engine. I figured that people with many years of experience might have a shortcut or easy way to do it. A friend showed me how to replace a throw out bearing and clutch in a truck without having to put a 500 pound transmission on the ground or use a transmission jack.
No substitute for experience, and I do not repair mowers every day like some on this forum. You guys are great, and I can access a total of more than 100 years of experience here.
I am never too old to learn.

Can anyone provide a complete, legible electrical schematic for a GH 526v/52?
Most I have seen are blurred in the finer details. Thanks in advance for all help on this.
