Please help me!!! I have a briggs 550 series mower I'm working on it won't pick up gas. Starts Runs Dies. I've cleaned the carb , put in a new diaphram Primer bulb is good. Is the tube stopped up maybe? I have sprayed carb cleaner in it and blew through it with an air hose seems to flow through fine??? Frustrated help please!!!

The float could be stuck, despite the cleaning, making it not fill with fuel.

Could be float or associated needle valve - if fuel is getting to carb, you can try Seafoam or similar gas addative. Is there a fuel filter? Filter could be inside gas tank (not familiar with your particular machine).
Good Luck - keep us informed of progress !

The 550 series does not come with a float but a diaphragm.
More than likley the diaphragm has had it or its the fuel pick up pipe or the tank pick up from carb to engine on the fuel tank.
Tank off, carb off, give it a good clean and new diaphragm and that might help you.

This is a pic of the engine I'm working on. Thanks for all the feedback.
