Hi,

My Lawnboy lawn mower started having white smoke coming out of the exhaust when using it to mow the lawn last week. I shut it off immediately. Added some engine oil afterward as noticed it was low.

Turned it back on afterward. White smoke came out of the exhaust again. No loud sound at all, but lots of white smoke from the exhaust. I noticed it started leaking below where the dip stick's plastic housing goes into the main housing (see photos) -- it's a bit loose.

Is it repairable at all?

I would think just a new grommet for the dip stick tube would fix it. Where is the smoke coming from, oil hitting the muffler or out the muffler?

I agree with reynoldston, replace the grommet. White smoke is normally an indication of moisture (water) in the fuel. Pull the fuel line off the carb and drain about two inches into a glass jar. Cover the jar and shake well, any sign of foggingness or cloudiness, indicates water in the fuel.
