Greetings all!

I have a Poulin Pro HD1842 tractor. I ran out of gas while cutting the lawn and now am having trouble starting it. I have put in a new gas filter, plug, and air filter in. I have checked for spark and it does have spark. I also pulled the flywheel to inspect the flywheel key. It's still in one piece. I know that it's getting gas up to the carburetor. I sprayed starter fluid into the carb with no results. Any ideas? Attached is a picture of my engine number. Briggs.jpg

Thank you very much for all your help.
Regards,

What is the compression? Also is the spark plug dry or wet after trying to start?

Thanks for your reply. The spark plug is when when cranking. Unfortunately I don't have a compression tester.

Try some fresh plugs.
new plugs are not designed to run in carburettored lawn mowers they are designed to run in lean burn computer controlled fuel injected car engines.
The insulators are not glazed so once then get a conductinv path doen the centre it is all over.

If your certain you have spark, fuel and flywheel key is good then I would open up the valve cover. Make sure nothing is bent, broken and observe valve travel while turning engine by hand.
Not sure if you knew this but flywheel but is torqued 100 ft-lbs.
