Lawn Mower Blade Torque Specs

My question concerns lawn mower blade torque settings. When the blade torque specifications are stated as between "70 and 90 pounds" how do you determine what setting in that range to use?

Really depends on how accurate your torque wrench is. Here since mine is dead on spec I go with the max spec but for those that don't know their torque wrench accuracy I would go with a middle of the road approach. Most torque wrenches specs I have seen lately is +-4%. (76.8 - 83.2)

Just split it down the middle.

If you apply any lube the torque is way less than rated spec. Anti-sneeze or oil.......
