Hi, I'm new to lawn care. Previously I'd just mow my lawn and all was OK.
Now, I'd like to make my grass look good and green.
Are there any processes or steps that I must follow to achieve these results.
I always see adds on TV from Scotts selling their system and was wondering what you think.
I have just over an acre of grass with a lot of weeds and moles and my mower is a Sabre 17.5 Horse, 42 inch.

Go to your state university by extension office or internet. They have a full line of lawn care timeline, methods, product uses etc.

Good advice above....proably save you money too.

As for Scotts I personally use their stuff. I do avoid their weed and feed instead use the weed b gone with regular turn builder. Same goes for the summerguard (orange bag) I use bug b gone granuals, and with Halts (Blue bag) I use halts and 13-13-13 fert (early spring only). It costs alittle more but the results have been great for me. I prefer to spot treat and not the blanket approch. Most of what I do is per the local extension office recomendation
