Lawn Boy Tractor

I picked up a lawn boy lawn tractor LT12.5h at a garage sale ( cheap ) model number 52161. Normally I don't bother with that size tractor ( a dime a dozen ) but I didn't know lawn boy made a tractor. ( rare??? ) it was hit by a car in the rear and broke the transmission housing. I though it be a easy fix, can't find parts. ( replace trans. 1800.00 dollars ) needless to say that's out of the question. The transmission is a Eaton hydrostatic number 750-032-030491 cw. I wonder if other manufacture company's are using the same tranny. I'd send pictures but I don't know now to.

im not a pro by any sense of the word,but if I didn't want to pay 1800 for a tranny,i would measure the mount holes and shifter position,and start looking at boneyards ,and reusing as many parts n such like pulleys,somebody like ayp or mtd for example. made that mower for lawnboy, so it possible to find the same tranny off a different brand

If I remember right, I believe Gilson made those tractors for both Lawn Boy and Ford.
