I have doubts about internal carburetor filters...
Clean your gas can, this could be a source of dirt.
I see no reason to avoid ethanol, and high test gas ????
Run 1 to 50 using a synthetic oil, IMO, 1 to 32 is too much...
DIY on the carb, you can end up to be better than the "pro"...
