I have 2 early 1980s lawn boy f series electric start lawn boys both starters just whine and dont crank the engine is there any common problems with the starters gears on these any ideas
problem solved i had it hooked up to the battey it was spinning backwards i changed positive and negative around now it cranks my lawn boy battery was shot so i had one of the kids broken electric scooters in my junk pile i took the battery from that and wired it to the lawnboy connector and we got cranking and it started right up just need to adjust the air vane to get it running the right speed
