So I bought a used JD L110 a couple months ago. The motor is a kohler command 17.5 hp. I am having fuel problems and now the bottom of the fuel solenoid has came off as a result of not being able to get in the tight location to take it off of the carb bowl. The problem that I am having is the copper wire has broken off that connects the plunger and the capsule of the fuel solenoid. I am not interested in paying 50 bucks for the little part and would like to disconnect or bypass it. I had heard of someone just putting a bolt in the bottom of the bowl instead of the fuel solenoid. Is this possible? If so, I could really use some help and would appreciate any information that can be given to me. I have read some where how to do this but I can not find it now. Thanks for the help in advance

You can do that & put an inline fuel shut off.
You will need to get a proper bolt, it's metric I forget the size and thread pitch. But easy to locate.
