Kubotu 1005 diesel will idle only

I have a Kubota Z326 mower with the Kubota 1005 diesel.

New, only 9 hours on it.

Ran pefectly yesterday.

Today it will idle only.

Move throttle to fast and the spring in the injector returns the throttle to idle.

Air filter indicator OK.

No visible fuel leaks.

No visible water in fuel filter.

Opened fuel tank caps; no lack of venting.

The injection pump is forcing the arm back to idle.

What is the problem?
 
New with only 9 hours would be a warranty issue, and should let the dealer handle it to avoid messing up your warranty. On a side note sounds like something came loose and the governor isn't working properly.

I intend to call the dealer when they open next week.

However, I had hopes it was something simple, in which case it would not require the dealer service.
