Engine Kubota G1700 Timing Belt/Chain/Geared?

Hello.
Can someone tell me if the G1700 Diesel engine timing is Belt, Chain, or Gear driven.
Any links as to where I can get info on that, would be appreciated.

I just used image google, it appears to be gear driven, but I'm not 100% sure.

Yes, I think that seems to be the case.
I bought mine around 17yrs ago, secondhand, so I want to give her a service & was wondering about the timing. Think the best thing to do is get my grease monkey to have a look at it.
