Seems the gas is getting mixed with oil. What could be causing this? I was checking oil and it looked overfull, I suctioned out and came out watery, and then the scent of gasoline. I changed oil and filter. It ran well enough, did lawn. Had about 1/8 tank of gas left. Next time to do lawn oil was overfull and gas tank empty. I am not sure if it mixes while in use or only when standing. One option - if only when standing just put in gas shut-off but want to be sure gas doesn't mix when running. Best case - fix cause.

I would say that you are using the fuel in the carb faster than it is leaking. the needle valve in the carb is not sealing properly causing the carb to overfill and then run into the cylinder and then past the rings into the crankcase. You need to remove, clean, and install a carb kit to fix properly. Some people will recommend a shut off valve, which is fine, but unless you fix the carb issue it is just a bandaid repair.
