kohler hits governor at full choke but will die at half choke

Had starting problems on my 25 hp kohler. After a few cleanings of carb. it starts and runs to the governor but half choke off it sputters and dies. I assume i have something still in carb any hints to where it might be. And if anyone know where i could get a pic of the throttle linkage would be great help just to check.

If you are saying the engine runs with full choke but will not run with anything less than full choke...
Then You have a fuel problem... Either gasoline is not petting to the carb or there is something at the main jet keeping it from through the carb...

You also may have an intake air leak. That will cause it to be too lean... :smile:KennyV
