Kohler Courage 22

I picked up a nice Troy Bilt with the Kohler Courage 22HP engine. I have been told that this engine is prone to failing and does not have a good reputation. What have you guys experienced with this engine? It is a 2012

Biggest problem is that the sump bolts come loose. Take the shroud off and check all bolts holding the cover to the block.

 

[ILENGINE]

The single cylinder was that one with most of the issues. The twin courage is a decent engine, but did have some starter problems.
