kohler 2 cycle wont fire

i have a craftsman riding mower 22 hp kohler that just died..not getting fire to either plug..has a speed control modue on side of mower motor..could this be it

have a look at your safety switches ...i would check the fuse also ....If it still wont go check your coil

I knew there were Kohler 2 cycle engines on snowmobiles but have never seen them on mowers...
How common are 2 cycle engines on riders?
I know there have been a lot of 2 cycle engines on push mowers... :smile:KennyV

I'm sure he meant Two Cylinder -- but you probably picked that up too. I only clicked on this thread because I hadn't heard of Kohler Two Strokes -- but maybe they made some way back when.

yep,,sorry guys,,meant 2 cylinder,,yep,,have tried everything,,checked coils..key steel under flywheel,,new plugs..safety switches checked out too..im gonna take all grounds off of the coils and make sure i dont have dead ground somewhere.
