I suppose if you're charging customers you can pay as much as you want, i personally would buy them on ebay for half that price.
So you're saying that to put new rings on a kohler like mine you are paying in $500 in parts!?!?! on what? I plan to spend less than 200 total, my labor will be my time, but I am not even sure how i would spend $500 in parts for a bore job, piston, and rings that's absurd. $800 for a used kohler is also too much when i can do a rebuild for under $200.
The better the engine quality the easier the rebuild in my opinion. The disposal engines truly are not made for rebuild lol.
The real reason i posted was to see if anybody had advice on swapping out rings and/or piston on this single single ch15. I'm going to get into it sometime this winter but wanted to gather as much info as possible before doing it, I can say right now it won't cost me $500 in parts, i only have $60 in the entire mower!
