Should I replace the cam wheel? Engine 4 yrs old, used commercial 15-20hrs/week. Hard to pull, valves were recently adjusted by stihl dealer. And replaced air and fuel filter. Maybe compression release not working?

Suggest checking both valve clearance and the ACR operation first.

You will need a new gasket and the feeler gauge [not your regular feeler gauge].


Approximately .004".

Now check for the ACR bump on the intake valve or proceed as follows.

Dirko HT red sealant (70 ml tube) 0783 830 2000 Crankcase sealing faces.
