My b&s 450e is back to fun and games again. Runs a minute then cuts off. By coincidence after a rinse off including taking the top cover off I started the mower and full power no cutoff. Had to shut down and now the bail does not shut off the engine, possibly some 409 on there. Started it again this morning and the cutting out was back. So I hosed the kill switch, and the spark plug area, and back in business. Having to pull the spark plug boot of the stop the engine, I don't like to do this too much. Hope this plan works until I can install a new kill switch and replace the wire with a proper braided wire. Not sure the spark plug boot is not at fault, it looked nasty in there like tarnish I sanded the interior of the boot, can't hurt. Oh, when I had the top cover off I checked the brake, yeah it is going back like a good girl. Sure is nice to have a parts list.
Somehow the dampness is making the engine run properly except shut off. Any comments appreciated.
