Hello everyone!
Can anyone recommend a replacement engine (different manufacturer) for a Kawasaki fh601v gs09 off of a Wright stander?
Same mounting bolt pattern, shaft size., etc.

Thanks!

Rob

Most likely you will the current muffler setup will only work the FH series so that will be a big expense to consider if the you can find commercially made muffler or if you have to have a custom one made if you go with a different OEM engine.

And here the crankshaft specs for the FH601V-GS09 that you must match up too.

And here is the mounting info.

Electrics are easy but the plugs will not match
Only really 2 systems
1) magneto through to key switch
2) magneto through a module or relay
They are basically all the same
Engine will have wire to the magnetos coils , goes to ground to stop engine
wire to carb solenoid , goes battery voltage to run
Wire to starter motor solenoid
Wire from rectifier to battery to recharge ( may go through switch or hot solenoid wire )
2 wires to the electric clutch, these are usually plug & play .
