Thanks for the info.Either I missed that plate or its not there. I'll take another look later.

Actually, you have an older model, looks like a series 5 or 6. So the model number is on a plate that is under the seat, drivers left side, mounted to the battery tray. It will tell you the cut/original engine horse power/series number and if it had electric start.

Right on, see it is a 28" cut, 8 hp engine, series 6 and electric start.

Cleaned the carb yesterday and got it fired up and actually cut some grass with it. Seems to still need some tuning. Anyone have anything on how to adjust the carb and throttle?

Update: The old snapper is alive and seems to run well. New battery , carb clean and new spark plug. Starts right up each time. Still working on throttle control and idle.
