In Fredericton NB. Have a 1979 Lawn Boy 5247 19 in (my favourite machine)

Been successful in keeping it running thus far. Currently have a gas leak from the shut off but hopefully a new rubber disk will correct.

I never owned one but understand that they were incredible mowers.

My Dad owned a Lawn Boy purchased in the late 1940's. "Iron Horse" on the flywheel around which you wrapped a piece of cord with a pull handle to start. Used continuously well into the millennium and as far as I know, its still running. Had such little compression that you could spin the flywheel by hand, but it always started, even after a winter's rest, with one pull. That too is a mower.
