:newhere:Hello, I stumbled across this forum a couple of days ago. Didnt have any idea that there was so much information listed here. Im trying to get a Cub Cadet walk behind mower running. Now I see why the guy at the yard sale gave me such a good deal? Anyway, it has a Honda 5.5 hp engine and hasnt been started in about a year. Needless to say it was gummed up pretty bad. Went completely through the carb, flushed the tank, put it all back together. Started right up but wont pick up any RPMs, if I move the choke lever it trys to die. 2 of the new gaskets I put on was a lot thinner(almost like paper), the guy at the parts store told me he was out of stock on the heavier gaskets and would order some in. Im hoping the problem is I have a gasket leaking because of the thinner gasket.
Im retired and really enjoy messing around with small engines. If my health was better I would like to have a small engine repair shop out of my garage.Well hows that for talking your ear off? Keep up yhe good work and its nice to have a forum like this, oldtymer
