Hi ottoslanding,
You are comparing two very different jacks. The Jungle Jack is a typical flip up type unit that grabs somewhere on the front of the deck or frame and the Mojack Pro picks up by the front tires, is adjustable and has a winch. I have a Mojack Pro which is used primarily for cleaning my Hustler X-ONE rear discharge machine.

Jungle Jack

Lift Any Mower From Any Angle
"The new and improved single lifting hook on the Jungle Jack makes it easier to lift your equipment approximately 19 off the ground from any angle. It will lift virtually all belt drive and hydro walk-behinds in any size or model. It will also lift any ZTR or stand-on-mower. The Jungle Jack has a lifting capacity of 800 pounds. The large foot assist pedal on the Jungle Jack helps the operator lift the mower with the use of their legs, taking the pressure off the operator痴 back and arms. Jungle Jim痴 also offers a wider tooth, which enables the user to lift mowers with wider decks."

For some reason, after looking at the pictures of the Jungle Jack....I'm not certain I would have a warm & fuzzy feeling about crawling underneath my Gravely with it lifted up with that design versus the MoJack:0(

I agree....and the little hook that keeps the mower up almost looks like the one that is used on the push mower lift.....a push mower is a LOT lighter.

I own a jungle jack and it has a locking lever keeps it from tipping. I actually love the thing takes up nearly no space and its easy to use. You could even lift a car with it (I lifted a corner of my jeep cherokee)

The Jungle Jack was recommended by my scag dealer. It is the only thing they use in their service dept. They do not recommend the Mojack.

It is a long time dealer and they sell a ton of Scags and Jungle Jacks

I would also look at this one from Harbor Freight. Right now its on sale for $79.99 and I was able to use a 20% off coupon. I looked at the Mojack (the lighter duty one - 300#), and the HF unit is of equal quality. I've used it several times and it is pretty sturdy. Like all Harbor Freight equipment, it is great for the homeowner. It would not likely stand up to being used in a shop everyday.

As far as recommending the jungle jack at your dealer it's only natural they recommend what they use or sell. As far as using one I think due to the fact that it's lift is approximately 19" would be a problem for me. The Mojack will lift my mower 24"and a little higher if I wish, which allows me to have plenty of room to work under the deck with air guns to remove blades. Personally I like and think having a mower supported at two points is a lot safer than one and the Mojack is only half the price.

Yep, I like the way the MoJack has a locking pin with holes at two heights to lock the lift in place and the straps for the front tires. I did, however, learn the hard way when I was cleaning under the deck to install my mulch kit that you need to secure the rear wheels front & back if you are not on a level surface(my driveway has about a 10 degree angle).......as the ZTR and the jack wanted to go down the driveway and I had to be pretty quick lowering it down and securing the rear wheels(it almost "ran over me":0)

Yeah I like the locking pin on the Mojack and like I said I like the fact that it supports the whole front end of the mower. I think the Jungle Jack would be ideal for a business to carry in there truck when there out on the job possibly, maybe for cleaning out there deck real quick or maybe changing a bent blade if something like that ever happened.

I've had that thing loaded in the cart three times with the 20% discount and could not pull the trigger. My wildcat weighs just under 1100 Lbs so my guess is with two wheels off the ground I could exceed the 300 Lb limit. My bride says fuggedaboutit and get the mojack pro. My dealer swears by the jungle jack. I like the accessory on the mojack pro for lifting my walk behind mower for annual maintenance. I'm far enough along in years where I get a finite number of bendovers per day. There is a big penalty for exceeding the daily limit.

I've been considering your point about the commercial user with the jack in the back of his trailer or truck. I think the jungle jack makes more sense in that setting and my dealer sells these things and for the most part I am sure he caters to commercial accounts.

I like the 24" MJ vs the 19" JJ. A pretty big difference. Two points of support certainly can't hurt and surely must be more stable. The MoJack Pro runs $450 while the Jungle Jack runs 200. I'm thinking since my Wildcat is 1100 Lbs I should go with the pro. Wrong?

My Gravely weighs 1,051 pounds "dry weight" and I ask my dealer about the MoJack 300 pound rating. He told me it would be fine, that simply lifting the front(or even the rear) wheels alone would not exceed that(you're not lifitng the whole machine and a LOT of the weight bearing will still be on the wheels that are still on the ground). It's your money, but the regular MoJack is half the price of the Pro model.

If I had a 1100 lb mower I would definitely go with the Mojack Pro lift. I use the EZ with the 300lb rating and lift my Grandstand and the 48" CC ztr. I also have the work bench attachment and it works great for working on the push mowers. You wont be disappointed if you buy the pro it will lift anything or mower available. You mite want to call Tractor supply and see what price they could get you, they have had the EZ on sale for $99, maybe they could do better on the price of the Pro. Just a thought.

The thing you need to look at is the outside wheel measurement, the EZ takes anything up to like 47 " the Pro goes out to 62" I'm not sure if the wildcat will fit the EZ or not. AS far as the lift goes I agree all the weight is going to be in the back.

Oooops, I plumb forgot that minor technical limitation:0) Thanks Ric!!
But, it looks like your Wildcat is a 52" deck so I wouldn't think the front wheelbase would be that much more than my 52" Gravely......but would recommend you measure it before buying the MoJack EZ model to be sure it would work:0)

I was concerned with the Harbor Freight lift at first because my ZTR weighs about 775#. But, I found that I can just about lift the front end myself, so the weight limit really wasn't an issue. I do like how you can lock it at three different heights up to about 24". The 1,100 # ZTR I'm not so sure about.

I picked up a Mojack-ez a few weeks ago at tractor supply when they had them on sale,99.00. I've got a ferris is-700 and it is 1056lbs. dry and it works just fine and it works on my atv and my cub cadet GT. It was a good buy as far as i'm concerned. I put rubber 9'' chalks behind the r-wheels and put the machine in nutral and up it goes , just make sure when it is up all the way , go back and push the chalks up to the r-wheels,,, easy-peasey lemon squeazy.......

of coarse this is just my opinion, bottom line is.. YOU must feel safe with what ever u buy

Yep, I learned the hard way to make sure the rear wheels had chucks front-and-back(and disengaging the trannies is a VERY good idea too because the rear wheels "turn" as you lift the front and it's not good to have the trannies engaged).

Does anyone know what the weight is on the front wheels of a 52" Scag Wildcat? How much force does it take to lift the front end? 100Lbs? 300Lbs? Has anyone ever taken the front of a scag and put it on scales to see how much it weighs?

not trying to hijacj your thread BUT
if you have a garage/shop consider a electric winch
I have one in my rafters and I hook on to the front bumper with a lifting strap
I find I can darn near stand ihe cadet on its rear very easy to change blades/belts de grass grease etc.
Iconsider this indeslensable especialy now with arthritic knees.
Just one Canucks opinion

Hi,
I have a mobile mower maintance business, I have and used a JJ for about 4 years. I really like it as it's smallish and light enough to lift in and out of my truck. I usually hook under one side of the deck and lift to get to the blade and usually the middle blade to remove and sharpen. It's no problem on the side opposite the chute. On the chute side it can be a challenge, the hook on a JJ flips and can sometimes not hold the side securely. So I fabricated a hook on a length of chain which works most of the time. The problem is with JD decks that don't have a bar across the bottom of the opening, I generally place the hook where ever I can.
And on heavy mowers i.e.:JD 400's I don't have enough weight to get it up. Then I resort to a hydraulic floor jack

I have an Mo-Jack Pro and it will lift my 445 but with the deck on it's real hard to lift. No deck, no problem.
What I do not like about it is the base that sticks underneath the engine. This is in the way when you are laying underneath to work on whatever.
Hurts my shoulders and back...

I cannot find a link anyplace but I seen a Kubota jack at the dealer recently that looked nice.
It sits way out in front of the machine and only under the front wheels. Seems like it was $459 or $499.
I don't think the lift capacity is high enough for mine but it might work great for the zero turn mowers.

One problem with all of these is that they take up lots of shop space, and I don't like leaving anything out in the rain.
I mainly use a floor jack unless I need to raise the front way up.

What we all need is a 4 wheel lift to raise up the entire mower to about 6 feet...
