Had my drive belt on a JD Z425 fail. . After that struggle bus, I finally got the new one installed, but now the right side transmission is not working, even though the pulley is spinning. Would the transmission have broken when the belt gave up? While Im troubleshooting that problem, the nylon (im guessing) starter gear decided to eat itself. Is there a way to replace that nylon starter gear without buying another starter? Thanks everybody.
Update 5/1: Starters were cheap enough so I just ordered a new one. But the right side drive problem remains. I examined while running and the fan is definitely spinning.. The lever that dis-engages each wheel is set the same as the left side which is working. Could the belt breaking have caused it to fail internally?
