I purchased my John Deere four years ago and I really enjoy this mower.
Last year my battery wouldn't keep a charge without leaving it hook up to my battery charger full time.
This summer I've had to jump start my mower a couple of times and one day (6 wks ago) I had no electrical current to the starter. I learned from my dealer that the starter module was bad as a result of low battery voltage. I replaced the module myself (less than $80) and replaced my battery.
Lessons learned is to make sure that my battery is in good condition and replace it before any bad results occur due to low voltage failures.
