john deere sabre electrical issues

i have the following lawn tractor sabre 14.5/38 gear gx1438a016531with b/b engine 287707-1274-e1when you turn the ignition key the fuse blows. looking for any help and if possible electrical drawing so i can trouble shoot better , in past have disconnected the stator and resolved problem this did not work, thus looking for any help thanks

Check ignition switch at backside of dash for continuity & wire harness plug connection free of corrosion tight & secure connection.

You can make your own wiring diagram very easily. Take your eyes and fingers. Touch a wire from one end to the other. Document what you touched and connected to what. Might even learn something along the way. Like why you have an electrical issue. Then how to correct said issue.

The only thing that is in line when you just turn to run is the carburetor fuel solenoid.

Pull the plug off the back of the key swich
Jump the red & yellow wires
If the fuse blows then Star has nailed it and there is a short in the wires to the carb solenoid
If the fuse does not blow then the key switch is faulty
