John Deere lx 188

Hello I have a 1996 John Deere lx 188 I am trying to get the head off but it acts like I have missed taking a bolt out but I can not see that I did does anyone have some help they could detect me. Thank you

Put the plug back in and crank the engine.
Depening upon the model engine there will be 8 or 9 bolts and all are clearly visible even with the rocker cover on. Count the holes in your new head gasket.
people do silly things like putting silastic on the gasket and that is near impossible to get unstuck
