John Deere L130 - No guts!

I have a John Deere L130.
When pulling the knob to turn on the PTO it takes a little bit to come on.
Then as your mowing you can hear it coming off and on.
It's still cutting when doing it, just not very good.
It's like it has no guts. The grass it short. Mowed last week.
So it's not bc the grass is to thick/tall.
We have replaced -clutch
-battery - upper and lower belts - all spindles
-relay -switch for clutch.... And more in the last week!
I am a wife asking. We have spent 500 dollars trying to fix the issue and paid someone to work on it.
No luck.
Thank you in advance!

Being very careful engage the pto and wiggle the wires at the voltage regulator.

When you replaced the pto switch did you clean the connector before you plugged it in?

You'll need to ask the service center those questions since they hired a so called professional to do the work.

Ok

Unhook every plug-in connection one at a time and clean them so all the contacts are nice and shiny.

Then go to the place that you paid to work in the mower and kick his azz.

Yes we paid someone to replace ALL of that! So I'm
Not sure.
Just trying to get some ideas to suggest to my
Husband once he gets home from work before he drives it off a cliff! Ha!
The repair man dropped if off this morning,
When I got back on it after he left it was still messed up.
Just kicking off and on while engaged. It's not quitting all together bc it's still cutting while doing it. It's just
Losing power for 3-4 seconds then kicking back on. And bogging down.

Is the engine kicking off and on or just the blades kicking off and on.

When my wife cuts grass on a riding mower she swears the mower is broke because it cut off on then back on. Sometimes with a backfire.

The problem was not the mower it was her.

Every time the mower hits a bump she would let up off the seat.
Is it kicking off and on if the mower is just sitting. Not moving?

Just the blades.

No it's not that. I am for sure setting. It's when I turn the blades on.
You can hear it kick on start mowing after a few seconds but then it's like when you run
Through thick grass and it Boggs down except there is no tall grass. Just off and on. The mower part is coming off and on, not the motor. I know I sound like an idiot. lol. Just trying to save us anymore money.

Sounds like something is loose.

The pto runs off of the voltage regulator.
You should be able to reach while sitting in the seat and leaning over.

With the blades on wiggle the wires on it.
Also move the pto switch side to side.
It's going to be a bad wire or a bad connection or ground.

Does the mower have a amp meter on it?

Could be the charging system is not keeping the battery charged to full charge. The pto clutch loads up the battery

Could you clarify the exact symptom. When you say it cuts off does the blades stop completely or does its wind down.

So my advise to you is this:

MOWER NOT RUNNING: check the PTO cable to make sure its moving the pulley all the way and also check to see if the cable is bent or feels like its broken on the inside.

MOWER RUNNING: First disconnect the seat safety switch so you can get off the mower when its running, turn on the PTO and look underneath the frame and watch the belts and pulleys. You might have a belt jumping or a pulley locking up.

Please be careful when you look under the mower when its running. Remember thats all you have to do.....just look. Don't reach for anything until you kill the motor and everythings stops moving.

Had a similar problem, found one of the spark plug wires broke in a hard to see area
