John Deere js30 bogs down, takes awhile to spool up

Hello,

I have a JS30 that from time to time bogs down on me and sits there just barely running. It takes a pretty good amount of time for it to spool back up to full speed. When it first happened I raised the deck and sharpened the blade and subsequent mowing's had it happen only 2 or 3 times. Last time mowing though the grass was somewhat moist and it bogged down probably 12 times and each time it took 1-3 minutes to get back to full speed. If I release the handle and let it shut off and start it again it will start in the same bogged down state. There's no buildup of clippings underneath and nothing spits out when it finally does spool back up.

Any ideas?

I don't know what you mean by spooling back up ?????

The blade is on the right way ??? That would cause the grass not to spit out......

Can you make a video and post it ???

Most of those mowers that I have worked on in the past had a Briggs 6. 75 on them ~!~!

Thank you for your time.

By bogs down I mean such as if you pushed into really tall grass and it just slows right down. Normally if you push the front up the grass spits out and it goes back to full speed.

Except it isn't tall grass and it takes a long time to get back up to speed. I can try a video this weekend if it happens again

Manufacturer Briggs and Stratton
Model Series Quantum®
Cycle 4
Displacement 189.6 cc (11.57 cu in.)

Got the picture anyway

Got it. It sputters a couple times in there and gets to full speed at the end

Either the carb is loose on the intake tube or the intake tube is loose on the block... Carb might just needs to be tore apart and soaked in a carb dip change the seat also....

At first I thought it was the gov spring that was very loose in the video.. Fuel line issue.... Tank nipple clogging... Are all suspects... Fuel line is very cheap.......

Okay, I believe I have a couple feet of fuel line hanging around. I'll just replace whatever I can find for line and make sure things are tightened down. I won't be able to do it until this weekend most likely. thank you!
