I got a John Deere gx75 2 days ago and it worked fine for two days. The previous owners said that when u turn it off put it in nuetral or you will have a hard time starting it. I forgot to put it in nuetral and now I can't get it started. It won't crank or do anything. It will go in to nuetral but it won't "register that is in nuetral". This mower is very old with over 500 hrs on it. Anybody have any suggestions

It won't crank because the daisy chain from the starter switch to the solenoid control terminal is broken some where.

Power goes from hot solenoid wire to ignition switch viad a wire with a fuse in it, check the 15 A fuse.
From there t goest to the PTO switch the neutral switch the brake switch then to the starter solenoid.
Make up some bypass jumper leads and bypass each of these switches one a time till you find the culprit.
Note that switches which control the starter are normally open and switches that control the spark are normal closed.
