John Deere d 140 with Briggs 22 HP V-twin

Can someone comment on the procedure to replace the
helper spring on the choke. I can tell that the carb needs
to be removed, so what else do I need such as gaskets
etc. to make this job, maybe easier.

Looks like a lot of work for this spring replacement.
