I'm having quite a bit of trouble with the main belt on my jd 510

does anybody on this forum own a 510 that could help me out?

the main belt appears to be rubbing on an area just in front of the double pulley under the seat. my local dealer "fixed" it today and for $435.00, my belt broke 15 min after I got it home. I'm madder than a wet hen but would really like to see a picture of how this belt set up is supposed to be. I'm hardly convinced that the bohanzes at the shop knew what they were doin!

any ideas would be great.....( btw.....I ve been completely through the online Manuel)

thx chad

I would have never came on here. When it broke I would have loaded it back up and returned to shop and forced them to fix it for free. $435 is way too much money for not being fixed. You paid for a fix and did not get it.

Go back to the shop.
They need to fix it right.

Man stuff like this pisses me off.

Im with you. This is one of the things I will not put up with. I had an issue once where they "fixed" it by replacing the wrong part. Took it back and they said it needed another part to fix it. I went off and needless to say got it fixed no charge. This is one of the reasons I do my own work. I can replace a lot of parts that don't fix it for that kind of money.
