Does anyone have an idea what caused this problem?

While mowing my blades stopped spinning. It was if I pushed the pto to stop the blades. When i pull the pto to engage the blased I hear a click, but nothing happens.

The belts are on, all the fuses check ok.

Sounds like your clutch is the problem

Back side under the mower engine where the main drive belt is , look at it and put your meter on the wires that plug into the clutch, engage the clutch and watch your test light or meter, if it shows voltage and still does not turn the belt , it's probably bad,

Just hearing a click doesn't the clutch is fully engaging. You could low on voltage. It got to be a good solid thump. Also double check the belt(s). this came with several different decks some had one belt and others had two belts when I looked at the IPL. Plus look under the deck and make no blade is blocked from turning. I just use a Husqvarna last week that would clog up and the blades would be blocked from turning until cleared.
