I was given this JohnDeere 180 to repair and sell at my leisure. I have no idea what Im doing.:confused2:
All it needed from what I could tell was a battery and spark plug.
quick videos of it running 1st without the spark and second with...
www.raysshoerepair.com/Video1.3gp - no spark installed
www.raysshoerepair.com/Video2.3gp - spark in.
from a quick search on google I thought it might be hydrolocked. but that does not seem to be the case.
Any help would be nice.
PS. if your in my area I'll sell it to you as-is. I also have the Technical manual on CD if you want.
***Update*** SOLVED
Turns out my spark plug and battery were the wrong type for this mower. Got the correct ones and works fine now.

That has me confused? What was wrong with the battery and spark plug? Was the spark hitting the piston and the battery too small??

yes to both. Battery was not strong enough to crank it over, and sparkplug was wrong size.
